5k Heart Walk

The American Heart Association will be adding to the fun and excitement of the Great Miami River Days by holding its annual Heart Walk during the festival.

The 2011 Heart Walk will take place on Saturday, September 10. The 10K (6.2 miles) course will take walkers along the Great Miami River, past an 19th century Indian village and Civil War Encampment and through the festival area.

Walkers can set their own pace and distance and the donations collected from friends, family and co-workers who are supporting their participation in the walk will benefit the American Heart Association’s medical research and heart heath education programs.

There are many opportunities to become involved in the Heart Walk – forming a team, becoming a sponsor, volunteering at the walk, or walking as an individual.
